Krause intaglio press (Kupferdruckpresse) with star wheel and direct drive of the top roller.  Krause made several models of this press design, with roller widths ranging from 47 to 90 cm.  The press was also available with 1- or 2-stage gear reduction, with flywheel instead of the star wheel, and could also be delivered with a wooden bed.  Krause also made smaller desktop presses similar to this model, and larger, heavy-duty intaglio presses.
